Haslam Properties is a family-owned property rental business. We hold a portfolio of period properties located in the heart of Kendal on the edge of the English Lake District.
We have created a new hybrid rental offer that bridges the gap between unaffordable 1-bedroom rentals and uninspiring house share properties. Haslam Properties offer multiple occupancy rental packages, including all utility bills, council tax, Sky TV and internet, in period houses with a contemporary, luxury finish and everything you need to access a great lifestyle.
Kendal has a surprisingly vibrant local cultural scene: a good art gallery in Abbot Hall, and the Brewery Arts Centre – three cinemas, a theatre and music venue, plus Europe’s biggest festival of mountain cultures, the annual Comic Arts and Freerange Comedy festivals. There’s also the newly developed Factory, a creative hub nestling close to the riverbank where artists, designers and makers rub shoulders with artisan brewers, and which British Sea Power chose as a venue for their 10-year celebratory ‘Sea of Brass’ gig.
The Lake District, in ‘all its Wordsworthian, Ruskinian, Wainwrightian glory’ is slap-bang on your doorstep. Most of the lakes and fells are no more than an hour or two’s drive away, the National Park boundary is just a mile out of town and Windermere is a 15-minute drive or a short ride by train. And if you wish to venture further afield, Oxenholme railway station connects you to the West Coast Main Line; from there it’s only an hour to Manchester or two and a half to London, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
All of our properties are let and managed via local agency, Mint Homes, on a 6-month shorthold tenancy basis. We constantly invest in a rolling programme of renovation and upgrade and they ensure a swift and professional response to any issues you may have.
